After careful consultation with local emergency management officials and after visiting each of its schools, Kershaw County School District has made the decision to open all schools and offices on a two-hour delay on Monday, September 30. This means school start times are two hours later than normal. School bus riders should report to their bus stops two hours later than their usual times.
All Kershaw County School District schools will shift to e-Learning on Friday, September 27, due to the forecast for heavy winds and possible severe weather conditions due to Hurricane Helene. All school buildings and offices will be closed on Friday. This includes after school childcare programs. Weather conditions are expected to clear by Friday afternoon, allowing extracurricular activities to move forward as scheduled after 3 p.m. unless otherwise noted by the school.
Mastery Connect is an online teacher tool and student assessment platform. The platform allows teachers to create and deliver assessments, track student progress, and identify areas where students may need additional help. Kershaw County School District will be on a regular school schedule Friday, August 9. Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we navigated this storm together.
All Kershaw County School District schools will shift to e-Learning on Thursday, August 8, due to the forecast for heavy rain and potential flash flooding from Tropical Storm Debby. All afterschool activities and sports are also canceled for Thursday.
