Meet your Counselors

School counselors are here to help you!

We work with students individually, in small groups, and through classroom lessons to teach important academic and social emotional skills and to help prepare students for their future careers.

We also work with families and community agencies to make sure our students' needs are met.

Please reach out to us with any concerns and we will do what we can to help!
NCMS Guidance Counselors

Sarah Foster Anderson

Hi! My name is Sarah Foster Anderson and I am one of the school counselors at NCMS! I am excited to be returning with my Patriot family for this school year! I have been at NCMS since Fall of 2018 and have worked in education since 2012!

I work with students whose last names start with K-Z. I can be contacted at (803) 424-2740 ext. 8814 or by email at sarah.foster@kcsdschools.net

I grew up in Fort Mill, SC and always dreamed of becoming a teacher. I got my bachelor's degree in Middle Level Education from Columbia College (Go Koalas!) and spent 3 years teaching 7th grade Math in Rock Hill. I loved working with middle school students every day and helping them solve their problems, so I followed my passion and got my Master's degree in School Counseling. I have since gone back to school and obtained my Educational Specialist postgraduate degree in School Counseling. I spent 3 years as a high school counselor in Cherryville, NC before moving back to SC. I love working with middle schoolers again and getting to help them through all of the ups and downs! I am so glad I found NCMS--there is absolutely no better school!
